The texts are compiled from fragments of research on metamorphosis. The genetic and hormonal processes that initiate and orchestrate a metamorphosis are redirected into anthropomorphic witness statements, that tell of transformation processes in first person narration. The agents in transformation operate here as modes of figuration that unsettle the boundary between form and formlessness, subject and object, human and more-than-human.To pursue the figure of the shapeshifter here is not to recover a stable identity but to encounter a body in the process of becoming-other: unstable, porous, and perpetually unfinished.
